Overview
Facility cameras (when enabled) lists cameras and health for monitoring whelping or kennel areas. Capabilities depend on hardware and integration tier.
Workflow
- Register cameras with stable names and locations.
- Verify streams after network changes.
- Respect privacy and buyer expectations when sharing feeds.
Practical note
Cameras help observation—they do not replace hands-on care.
Admin setup
Register cameras in Admin → Cameras and link dens when supported. NVR URL and secrets are environment-level—contact host if streams fail globally.
Advanced options
Live view in Facility cameras tears down streams on navigate away—reopen if frozen.
Troubleshooting
Black screen: verify camera online, NVR JWT config, and network from tablet browser.
Developer & API notes (members)
App: Facility cameras page uses NVR client (nvr-client.js) with NVR_BASE_URL + shared JWT from environment.
Admin cameras: /api/v01/admin/cameras/fetch.php registers streams.
Live view teardown is intentional on navigation—reopen the page if the stream freezes after long background tabs.
