Overview
The admin portal (/admin/) is separate from the day-to-day web app (/app/). Administrators sign in here to set up catalog data, permissions, and integrations. Staff with limited permissions may never need the admin portal—they work in the app lists and detail pages you configure.
This documentation covers everything a kennel admin can access. Platform-wide superadmin tools (managing all breeders on the host) are not included—those are for your BreederWorks platform operator only.
Steps
- Sign in at
/admin/with an account that has admin privileges. - Review the sidebar: Users, Kennel, Schedule, Timekeeping, Office, Categories, Associations, Settings, Advanced.
- Complete General Settings and Payment setup before inviting staff.
- Configure Kennel breeds and vaccination/deworming types before heavy data entry in the app.
- Use Users & permissions before sharing logins broadly.
Practical note
Configure once in admin; operate daily in the app.
Admin setup
Requires admin role on your breeder account. Not the same login surface as superadmin platform tools.
Advanced options
Pair every admin area with its app module: Kennel admin → Kennel app, Office admin → Office app. See category articles in this Admin portal section.
Troubleshooting
Cannot access /admin/: ask an existing admin to grant permissions or contact platform host for account recovery—not superadmin self-service.
