Breeds, dens & cameras (admin)

Overview

Kennel → Breeds controls breeds available when creating animals. Dens names physical spaces. Cameras registers streams for facility monitoring when your deployment includes NVR integration.

Steps

1. Add breeds before bulk animal import so dropdowns stay consistent.
2. Name dens the way staff speak (“Whelping A”, not “Room 2”).
3. Link cameras to dens when the UI supports it for faster troubleshooting.
4. Operational den assignments happen in Kennel → Dens in the app.

Practical note

Fix breed typos early—every litter and pedigree inherits them.
